Strawberry Recipes

For this project Catchlights Photography asked me to design a recipe book to give them the opportunity to showcase and promote their new service, food photography.

For this project Catchlights Photography asked me to design a recipe book to give them the opportunity to showcase and promote their new service, food photography.

Cover Pages

Each recipe has a title page with a full page image to show the end result. The complexity of the recipe influences the size of the title page in that longer recipes will have a full spread title page, with more simple recipes being placed nest to a single page title.

Information Pages

The recipe pages are layed out in one of two ways. Most recipes have the ingredients in one column and the instructions in the other two. For recipes with more complex instructions I included multiple images, one for each major step. At the end of the book I added several pages with nutritional information, additional information about strawberries and other more text heavy content.

On Display

After the recipebooks were printed I went on to design a POS display to hosue and promote the books when they are being sold. I used images of the recipes in the book in collages on the sides of the display and a repeating strawberry pattern for the section where the books will be placed.
